Somebody is scrolling past your video right now with the sound off.
In about half a second, before they’ve heard one word you say, they’re deciding whether you’re even worth unmuting. They never got to your message. They never got a taste of your brilliance. They just saw what they saw, and they kept going.
That moment is what this whole series is about.
I’ve spent decades behind the camera, including four years as Bob Proctor’s Creative Director, and I keep watching the same thing happen to people doing genuinely brilliant work. They ask how to finally get seen for it, and everybody hands them the same tired prescription. Post more. Go live more. Batch more content. Feed the algorithm.
I want to push back on that, hard. Because if what’s on the screen isn’t communicating the caliber of your work, making more content doesn’t fix the problem. It multiplies it.
Most people don’t have a content problem. They have a presence problem.
